With over ten years of experience in one of the world’s biggest media production companies, The Walt Disney Company. DJ Sandra Dee has a keen ear for music listened by the masses. Hard working and dedicated, DJ Sandra Dee has interviewed more artists than there are days in a year! All of the effort and passion given in her work began because of her love for the Backstreet Boys.
Sandra dreamed of becoming a manager in the music industry. Her mother says that at an early age, everything was a microphone that would never be put down. Putting on shows and making announcements all over the house, as a kid, was not a chore for Sandra. Throughout middle and high school, Sandra went to local malls to meet her favorite artists. It was then she had the opportunity to meet some amazing artist like Mandy Moore, 98 Degrees, LFO, O-Town, & Mariah Carey; all of whom shaped her love for music.
Sandra then attended Nassau Community College where her focus was more on school and deciding where she wanted to take her love for music. She then found a flyer at her Career Center before taking on an internship with Radio Disney New York right before graduation. Little did she know that this would become a career! She was timid at first, but once she was handed the mic, she blossomed into the infamous "hostess with the mostest" that we know today. So you’re probably wondering, how she come up with her DJ name?
As it turns out, Sandra's favorite movie of all time is Grease. When her best friend and fellow host Bugsy came along and heard that Grease was her favorite movie, he christened her with the name DJ Sandra Dee. Sandra then continued her education at Adelphi University where she became highly active as a DJ, hosting her own show on PAWS Web Radio for 2 years. Then she completed her B.A. in Business Management with a Specialization in Marketing. DJ Sandra Dee picked up a mic and has not stopped since.
